The health and wellbeing of our teams is key, as demonstrated by our Tree of Life Health & Wellbeing Programme which commits to supporting our people’s activeness, nutrition, mental fitness, financial wellbeing, as well as being social. 

But we also pledge to have achieved the following by 2025:

  • 100% of our hotels and offices to achieve Gold Leaf status in our internal Tree of Life Health & Wellbeing Programme
  • 50% of our leadership roles across our portfolio will be filled by top performing females
  • 100% of employees trained in eradicating Modern Slavery from within our hotels and our supply chain

GIVING BACK TO THE ENVIRONMENT

 

We all have a part to play in protecting our environment, and therefore both our offices and hotels have stringent goals in order to be awarded Green Tourism accreditations and become a carbon neutral management company by 2025.

Our green targets can be broken down by energy, water, waste, supply chain, travel and buildings and commit to delivering the following by 2025:

  • 100% supplier base with sustainable accreditation and policies
  • 100% hotels and offices to have electric car charging points
  • 100% management company travel to be carbon offset via an environmental partnership
  • 100% LED bulbs in all hotels
  • 100% sustainably sourced fresh meat, poultry, fruit & vegetables, seafood and cotton
  • 100% of trading hotels and offices to embed at least one of our RBH environmental initiatives
  • 100% contractors appointed adhere to RBH environmental policies (Green Tourism accredited)
  • 60% energy from renewables
  • 25% reduction in waste to landfill
  • 15% reduction in water consumption
  • 10% reduction in electricity consumption
  • 10% reduction in gas consumption
  • Zero soap to landfill
  • All single use plastics removed from our hotels
  • All guest bathroom amenities to be provided by bulk dispensers
  • Work in partnership with brands to develop zero carbon new build hotels

  • We will consistently deliver for our UK Charity Partner

  • 100% of our hotels and offices will be involved in a local community project

  • 100% of our hotels and offices will partner with at least one local school or college, plus commit to the Hoteliers’ Charter, to promote employability skills and hospitality careers
