On Thursday night Aloft Liverpool burst onto the scene with a series of intimate, secret gigs to mark the hotel's official launch.
Collaborating with unique music movement, Sofar Sounds, the gigs paid credence to the city's cultural status and music heritage by celebrating emerging local talent. Guests including Jennifer Ellison, Ryan Thomas and Philip Olivier joined the celebrations and enjoyed performances from up and coming acts, such as Bill Ryder-Jones and Stealing Sheep.
Aloft Liverpool has transformed the city's iconic Royal Insurance Building into a stylish and contemporary city-centre hotel, which is now managed by RBH. Having lain derelict for the past 20 years, Aloft is breathing new life and energy into the Grade II listed building, creating a modern, fresh and fun destination.
A perfect partner for Aloft, Sofar Sounds creates a unique music experience by hosting secret gigs in intimate venues around the world, designed to satisfy true music lovers, and bring the magic of live music back to life. With a passion for supporting emerging music talent, Aloft Hotels open their doors to fresh music perspectives and regularly team up with cutting-edge musicians to bring live performances to properties around the world.
Andrew Kendrick, General Manager of Aloft Liverpool, commented: "We were thrilled to launch Aloft Liverpool with Sofar Sounds. It was great to see everyone exploring the hotel and enjoying the acts. We're looking forward to holding a lot of gigs in the future, as part of our Live at Aloft music programming."
