With over 750 rooms currently under construction and 16 million worth of capex to be spent on our existing estate this year, development at RBH is proving busier than ever, with a string of exciting projects on the cards for a buoyant 2015 and beyond.

The RBH central Project Management team has expanded, taking on four new employees to facilitate the portfolio growth, whilst recently taking on responsibility for the project management of the refurbishment and extension of the existing Glasgow office, along with the new Brentford office.

Projects Under Development

Following a prosperous 2014, 2015 is set to be an exciting year for RBH with projects across key brands including IHG and Hilton, as well as two new brand partnerships with both Accor and Marriott.

Holiday Inn Express Middlesbrough: Following an extensive £12.4 million restoration project, the Cook and Endeavour House in Middlesbrough city centre will be transformed into a 138 bedroom Holiday Inn Express, set to open its doors in summer 2015.

Ibis Styles Glasgow: Glasgow's first ibis Styles Hotel is set to open in summer 2015, with an approximate £7m investment transforming the Merchant City building into the 101 bedroom hotel. The project signifies RBH' first partnership with Accor.

Courtyard by Marriott Edinburgh: Set to open autumn 2016, RBH' appointment to manage the new hotel heralds the company's first ever partnership with Marriott. The historic listed building's impressive façade will be restored, and a new building will be added behind the existing three adjoining Georgian townhouses, to accommodate the rest of the hotel.

Hilton Leeds Arena: Under a franchise deal, £30 million will be spent on the new development of the upscale Hilton Leeds Arena. In addition to the 206 guest rooms and suites, the property will boast a destination restaurant, business centre, gym and a rooftop bar offering views of the city skyline from a 14-storey height.

Holiday Inn Express St Albans: Work has started on the 90 bedroom Holiday Inn Express, which when complete in early 2016 will be Redefine|BDL's 20th Express. The hotel will feature IHG's new generation guest bedroom and en-suite design.

2014 Highlights

Our current workload follows on from a busy 2014, featuring many new firsts for RBH. Highlights included...

This provided our portfolio with a further 340 fully refurbished bedrooms, with all new stunning public areas to match.

RBH oversaw the rebranding of The County Hotel, Epping Forrest to become our first Best Western Plus to further extend our relationship with Best Western.

RBH project managed the 75 bedroom extension of the Ramada Encore London West (now the Holiday Inn London West), whilst also undertaking a 48 bedroom extension to the Holiday Inn Express London Southwark.
