The UK's largest independent hotel management company has reported an increase in visitors throughout the 2014 festive period.

RBH recorded a 20 per cent increase in revenue from Christmas bookings compared to 2013.

More than 1,700 additional customers passed through the doors of hotels run by the group, including Crowne Plaza Reading and The Bedford Swan.

Stephen Bench, Divisional Director at RBH, said: "The festive period offers the ideal opportunity to maximise revenue and seize opportunities. Quality of service in order to enhance guests' experiences is always a major focus over Christmas, and pre-ordered drinks packages proved popular - which was very apparent in the increase in revenue."

John Stuart, Chief Operating Officer of RBH, added: "The rise in business over the 2014 Christmas period is excellent news for our portfolio, as well as the wider industry. This upsurge in festive footfall will serve as a good benchmark for growth in 2015."
