Crowne Plaza Manchester Airport has been nominated for no less than three accolades in the forthcoming Manchester Hoteliers Association Awards 2015.

The ceremony, which will be held on October 30 at The Palace Hotel, recognises member hotel teams and individuals across Manchester and Greater Manchester who have shone throughout the year.

Sharon Laycock, Operations Manager at the four star Crowne Plaza, is nominated for the 'Mentor of the Year' title, in recognition of her passionate leadership of many areas within the hotel, including housekeeping, reception and maintenance, and her dedication to training.

Katie Thompson, Assistant Front Office Manager, is up for the 'Rising Star Award', after quickly progressing through the ranks within the hotel and offering outstanding customer service and team leadership.

Personnel from the hotel's restaurant, Sampans, are nominated for the 'Top Team of the Year' accolade, after continuously improving on customer service, innovation, efficiency and financial results over the past year.

Matt Byram, General Manager of Crowne Plaza Manchester Airport, said: "We are delighted that our team members have been nominated for these three awards. This is true testament to the hard work and team cooperation that happens on a daily basis throughout the hotel.

"We wish Sharon, Katie and the Sampans team all the best on October 30."
