Holiday Inn London Brentford scooped the top accolade at the IHG Hotel Star Awards Europe 2013, being named Hotel of the Year at the prestigious event.

The annual IHG celebration was hosted at Holiday Inn Stratford Upon Avon on Monday 25th November, with awards presented by Angela Brav, IHG Chief Executive Office Europe, Stephen McCall, IHG Chief Development Officer and Casey McDermott, IHG Vice President Hotel Performance and Support.

Holiday Inn London Brentford fought off competition from properties across Europe to be named Hotel of the Year, where winning criteria was based on customer service, guest feedback, hotel performance, community involvement, and sales and marketing initiatives. Most notably, the hotel was the first to successfully launch the exciting new Open Lobby Concept as a pilot project for the Holiday Inn brand.

The hotel team had further cause for celebration when Giovanni Valentini, Deputy General Manager at Holiday Inn London Brentford, was awarded the CEO Special Award. The accolade recognised Giovanni's commitment to service within IHG, consistency in delivering exceptional customer service, and his leadership in launching the Open Lobby Concept in both Brentford and Camden Lock hotels.

Giovanni said, "My passion and dedication towards achieving the best service comes from the love for my role and people. Every day is a unique experience; this is why I dedicate my life to deliver the WOW factor during every interaction. Having this recognised by IHG is incredibly special."
