The UK's leading independent hotel management company, RBH, has taken three of its London properties into the Next Generation thanks to recent refurbishment.

More than £1million has been invested improving facilities - and guest experience - at Holiday Inn Express Park Royal, Holiday Inn Express Epsom Downs and Holiday Inn Express London - Limehouse.

The Park Royal hotel was one of the first in Europe to benefit from Holiday Inn Express' Next Generation redesign - or Gen 4, as it is also known.

The concept has been developed with industry-leading experts to meet the changing needs of today's 'Smart Travellers'.

Holiday Inn Express Park Royal's service delivery has been completely revamped thanks to a £500,000 investment.

A new food and beverage concept has been launched, whilst some of its bedrooms have been transformed into Next Generation sample rooms to test the new concept with guests. Plans for future regeneration are already in the pipeline.

The nearby Epsom Downs property has seen all 120 of its guest bedrooms upgraded to offer travellers a more comfortable stay.

Meanwhile, a £500,000, 150-bedroom makeover is currently under way at Holiday Inn Express Limehouse. It will see new beds, lighting and carpets in situ in the coming months.

Steven Foster, divisional director at RBH, said: "The transformations will put these three key Holiday Inn Express properties at the forefront of the hotel industry.

"This significant investment has brought upgrades tailored to each hotel, but all in line with Holiday Inn Express's Next Generation concept, which means a more comfortable stay for our guests.

"It's an incredibly exciting time for these hotels and we look forward to welcoming guests into each one to get a taste of the next generation experience."
