The UK's largest independent hotel management company, RBH, has celebrated a major fundraising milestone for nominated charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.

Representatives from Macmillan's Greater Glasgow team were welcomed by employees at RBH' Glasgow offices brandishing balloons spelling out the amount of money raised by the company so far - a whopping £30,000.

The cash has been raised thanks to a flurry of fundraising activity by the hotel management company's central teams, as well as those working in its collection of 69 properties across the UK.

And it means the big-hearted business is well on its way to hitting its overall target of £52,000 - enough to fund a much-needed Macmillan nurse for an entire year.

Susan Bland, Chief Human Resources Officer at RBH, said: "We're proud to support such a fantastic cause. Not only is Macmillan Cancer Support a charity close to the hearts of a number of our employees; but it also does fantastic work to support those battling cancer and their families.

"It gives me and the rest of the team, great pleasure to welcome Emma and Natalie from Macmillan into our offices to meet just some of the faces who have kindly donated and taken part in fundraising activity. I'm looking forward to delivering the news that we've hit our £52,000 target - which I believe can't be too far off."
