So what do our leading spa therapists believe sets a spa apart? Two of our outstanding therapists, Karolina Barrett, from The Nottingham Belfry Hotel, and Molly Birch of Tankersley Manor, both finalists in our prestigious Spa Therapist of the Year initiative, give us their tops tips…

1) Listen to your clients

Karolina says:

From simply building great professional relationships to relieving stress and pain, listening is crucial. Therapists need to really get to the heart of what clients want, and put this at the heart of everything they do. Seeing the positive change that you can bring about in a really short time is hugely satisfying.”

2) Tailor the experience

Molly says:

Respond to a client’s wants at every stage and tailor the experience wherever possible. Even making slight adjustments to suit a client’s needs can make them feel very special and valued.”

3) Team ethos

Karolina says:

Develop a team ethos among your employees, encouraging your therapists to help each other to develop their skills and treatment repertoire. It’s a real win-win as it benefits your team and your clients.”

4) Offer training

Molly says:

There are lots of opportunities to progress as a beauty therapist within RBH, with regular training workshops and off site courses. This ensures that we not only provide a first class service, but constantly evolve our treatments so that every customer leaves feeling both relaxed and reenergised.”
