One of RBH' longest serving members of staff has been shortlisted for the Housekeeper of the Year Award at this year's Hotel Cateys.
The aptly named Mary Curtin, who works as the leading independent hotel management company's Group Accommodation Services Manager, was named in the shortlist which was released by The Caterer this week.
Mary, who has worked for the company for 17 years, is hoping to clinch the title at the glittering awards ceremony which takes place on Friday 24 November at London's Park Plaza Westminster Bridge.
The place on the shortlist comes as a result of a strong nomination which hailed Mary's unwavering commitment to upholding rigorous housekeeping standards across the entire RBH portfolio.
The impressive nomination was backed by a number of senior members of RBH's hotel and support teams - including CEO Helder Periera alongside a number of individual hotel general managers - as well as external brand partners.
Helder Periera, CEO of RBH, said: "I'm delighted to see Mary named among the finalists for this prestigious award. Over the past 17 years she has proven to be invaluable, not only to our company, but also to the owners, hotel teams, brand representatives and suppliers with whom she works. She knows the hotel industry - and all things housekeeping - inside and out and has been a credit to us and the wider industry for years.
"No amount of praise would give Mary the credit she is due, so to see her named Housekeeper of the Year at this year's Hotel Catey Awards would be a well-deserved achievement."
